Does chamomile tea make you sleep?

My mother-in-law suggested I drink chamomile tea for my insomnia issues. I get very restless at night. Does this tea really make you feel sleepy and help with a good night's rest?

Look, it is not a sedative, so it won't knock you out instantly like a sleeping pill. But it definitely helps calm your mind and body after a crazy, stressful day at work. I have been using it for six months now, and my overall sleep quality has vastly improved.

Don't worry too much about your sleep, these phases happen to all of us. Chamomile tea is very gentle and completely safe to try. Just make a warm cup, put your phone away, and let yourself relax. You will be absolutely fine, just take it easy tonight.

I was facing terrible sleeplessness just last month due to exam stress. I started drinking warm chamomile tea every night, and honestly, it worked wonders for me. It gently coaxes your body into a relaxed state so you fall asleep naturally.

I completely relate to this, my mind just doesn't shut off at night. Chamomile tea really helps in calming down that mental chatter. It is not like a magic drug, but it definitely makes me feel cozy and ready for bed.

I have tried warm milk, badam milk, and various herbs for my sleep issues over the years. Chamomile tea is actually one of the most effective and lightest remedies I have found. It doesn't leave you feeling groggy in the morning like some other things do, which is a big plus.

Having a warm cup of herbal tea before bed is a wonderful natural routine. However, if your sleeplessness is due to chronic pain, high blood pressure, or extreme anxiety, these home tips won't solve the root cause. Please consult a doctor if the issue persists for more than a few weeks.
