Does chair exercise really work for weight loss?

Because of my knee and back problems, intense exercises are out of the question for me. I saw some videos on YouTube about chair exercises for weight loss. Does chair exercise really work for weight loss, or is it too gentle to be effective?

At my age, sitting on a chair and exercising is the only workout my knees actually agree with! While it might not make you lose 10 kgs in a month, it definitely burns some calories and is much better than lying on the sofa all day.

Chair exercises are excellent for joint safety and mobility, especially if you have arthritis or back issues. However, before starting any new fitness routine for weight loss, please consult your doctor to ensure it is safe for your heart and joints.

I totally get it, when you have knee pain or low stamina, jumping around is impossible. Chair exercises are a wonderful, gentle way to start moving your body. It really helps build up your strength slowly without hurting yourself.

Haan, chair exercise bilkul kaam karti hai na agar aap shuruat kar rahe ho! Lekin sirf baith kar haath pair hilane se weight loss nahi hoga, diet par bhi thoda dhyan dena padega tabhi sahi farak dikhega.

To keep my blood pressure in check, my doctor advised daily light movement. Chair exercises are great because they don't cause sudden strain or spikes in heart rate. Just combine it with a low-salt diet and regular health monitoring.

Look, something is always better than nothing. If you can't stand or run, do chair exercises rather than sitting idle. But remember, weight loss is 80% about what you eat, so control your portions too.

I actually tracked my heart rate during a 30-minute chair cardio session on my fitness band. It does raise your heart rate and burns around 120-150 calories! It is a great starting point for beginners, just stay consistent with it.

Don't believe those internet videos claiming chair exercises will give you a flat tummy in a week. True weight loss requires a calorie deficit. While chair workouts are good for mobility, they burn very few calories, so manage your expectations.
