Does celiac affect liver?

My sister was recently diagnosed with celiac disease, and it got me thinking about all the symptoms. I heard that celiac can affect other organs too. Does celiac disease also affect the liver?

Yes, untreated celiac disease can actually cause elevated liver enzymes because of systemic inflammation. Sticking to a strict gluten-free diet and doing regular strength training can help the body heal faster.

Haan na, celiac can affect the liver if we are not careful about our food. It is always better to get a simple liver scan done to be sure, ho na.

Bro, my cousin has celiac and his doctor told him that ignoring gluten can mess with other organs like the liver too. Best to stay away from maida and junk food strictly!

Beta, modern gluten allergies can strain your digestive system and liver. Along with your doctor's advice, take light foods like bottle gourd juice and avoid heavy fried items to give your liver some rest.

When we visited Apollo Hospital for my mother's gastro issues, the doctor clearly emphasized checking liver function tests for celiac patients. You must consult your specialist and get proper blood work done to be safe.

I understand how terrifying it is to worry about liver issues on top of celiac disease. I went through the same panic, but once I went completely gluten-free, my liver tests came back absolutely normal.

Yes, it absolutely can. Mild liver injury is a known complication of active celiac disease, so stop experimenting and get your liver enzymes tested by a professional immediately.

Don't panic! When I was first diagnosed with celiac, my liver enzymes were high and I thought the worst. My gastroenterologist explained it's a common reaction and it completely resolved once my gut healed.

It is emotionally draining to deal with a chronic condition like celiac and constant health worries. Please know that you are not alone, and managing your diet carefully really protects your whole body, including the liver.

Actually, untreated celiac causes hidden inflammation which can show up in liver reports, yaar. Just get a standard LFT done to clear your doubts.
