Does castor oil help arthritis?

My knee joints ache a lot, especially in the mornings. Someone told me that applying castor oil might help relieve the pain from arthritis. Does castor oil really help arthritis?

Please don't just rely on castor oil for joint pain. I ignored my joint stiffness for over a year using random oils, and now my joint damage is permanent because I delayed seeing a rheumatologist. Get a proper medical checkup before trying home remedies.

Haan na, arthritis ka pain bahut pareshan karta hai actually. Warm castor oil se massage karne se thoda blood circulation achha hota hai aur stiffness kam hoti hai. But isko permanent cure mat samjho, doctor ki advice toh sabse zaroori hai.

I totally get it, living with joint pain every single day is so exhausting and frustrating. Gently rubbing warm castor oil can sometimes soothe the area because of its anti-inflammatory properties, but it won't cure arthritis. I hope you find some relief soon.

While ricinoleic acid in castor oil has mild anti-inflammatory properties that can help soothe localized joint pain, it cannot reverse arthritis. It works okay as a complementary therapy. For a proper management plan, trusting your rheumatologist's prescription is always the best approach.

My teenage daughter has juvenile arthritis, and we have tried many supportive therapies to help her. A warm castor oil pack wrapped in a cloth does help relax her stiff leg muscles on cold mornings, but it always goes hand-in-hand with her doctor's treatment.

In our older days, we always warmed up castor oil or mustard oil with some garlic to massage stiff knees. It gives temporary relief from winter aches by improving blood flow. But remember, this is only to soothe the pain, you must still take your doctor's prescribed medicines.

I panicked so much when my finger joints started swelling, thinking my life was ruined. But once I got diagnosed and started treatment, my doctor said using warm castor oil for gentle massage is completely fine for symptom relief. It is quite normal to use it as a supportive aid.
