Does cancer spread faster after biopsy?

My aunt has cancer and the doctors suggested a biopsy to understand it better. But someone in our family said that doing a biopsy can make the cancer spread faster. Is there any truth to this concern?

Are nahi yaar, ye bilkul galat baat hai. Many people think biopsy se cancer phailta hai, but that is just a myth, haan. Biopsy is actually the only way doctors find out the exact type of cancer so they can start the right treatment. Trust your doc and don't delay it, na.

According to most medical experts, a needle biopsy does not cause cancer to spread. It is a very safe and standard procedure. When my aunt had her biopsy, she was very weak, but doctor told her to do a slow 10-minute walk inside the house to keep her circulation good and stay positive. Just follow your doctor's advice.

I completely understand why you are asking this; I also panicked and searched the entire internet when my dad was advised a biopsy. But let me assure you, it is a very safe procedure and doesn't spread the disease. Believing this myth will only delay critical treatment, so please go ahead with the doctor's plan.

Beta, don't believe these old wives' tales. Biopsy is necessary to find the root cause, it does not spread the illness. While you go through these medical tests, you can drink warm tulsi water or haldi milk to keep your immunity and strength up, but never skip the hospital tests.

Look, if biopsy caused cancer to spread, doctors would never do it in the first place. It is a very simple, standard test done daily in thousands of hospitals. Just get it done at a reliable lab or govt hospital so you get accurate reports quickly and can start the correct treatment without wasting time.
