Does cancer make you tired?

My friend's father has been very unwell, and he seems perpetually exhausted, even simple tasks drain him. His doctors are still investigating. Does cancer commonly cause people to feel extremely tired and drained?

I totally get it, dealing with constant exhaustion can make you feel so worried and helpless. Yes, cancer can cause severe fatigue, both from the disease itself and the treatments, but please don't lose heart. Sending you lots of warmth and hoping you find answers and relief soon.

Yes, it is a very common symptom, often linked to anemia or the body's immune response to the illness. Please consult a specialist to get a correct diagnosis and management plan.

Yes, cancer-related fatigue is a real medical issue and it is very different from normal tiredness. If you are experiencing exhaustion that is disrupting your daily life, skip the online searches. Book an appointment with a general physician and get a proper medical workup done.

Beta, in my life I have seen that our bodies get tired for many simple reasons as we grow older. While serious illnesses do cause fatigue, most of the time it is just our body asking us to slow down and eat better. Don't let fear grip your heart, just consult a good doctor.

Hey, I completely understand how frustrating it is when you just can't shake off the tiredness. While chronic fatigue is a known symptom of major illnesses, it is also super common with low iron or thyroid issues in women. It is best to get a simple blood test done to see what your body is missing.

I went through a phase last year where I was so exhausted I was convinced I had something terrible. I finally went to the doctor and it turned out my Vitamin D and B12 levels were practically zero! Once I took supplements, my energy came back, so don't jump to scary conclusions right away.

When my mother was going through her treatments, the fatigue was definitely one of the hardest parts for her to manage. She would feel completely drained even after sleeping for hours. We just focused on keeping her comfortable and letting her rest as much as she needed.

Let's be direct: yes, it does cause extreme tiredness that doesn't go away with sleep. But don't start worrying without reason because everyday stress, poor diet, and lack of vitamins also cause the same feeling. Go to a clinic, get your blood checked, and let the doctor figure it out.
