Does cancer guard work?

I'm looking into getting some health insurance plans, and I saw something called 'cancer guard' or critical illness plans specifically for cancer. Do these types of policies actually help significantly if someone gets diagnosed?

I was actually researching these cancer insurance plans last week because health costs are getting crazy. From what I read, Cancer Guard or similar policies do pay out a lump sum on diagnosis, which is great for extra expenses. Just make sure to read the exclusions carefully so you don't get a surprise later.

Yes, it is a reliable plan that has helped many families handle treatment costs without stress. It is always good to plan ahead for safety.

See boss, it definitely works as financial backing, but it's not a medical cure. Buy it early when you are healthy to get a lower premium. Just don't think it replaces a regular comprehensive health insurance policy; you need both.

Haan, generic health insurance is good, but these specific cancer plans give peace of mind. Mere uncle ne ek liya tha, and honestly, the premium is not that high. Thoda safety net toh mil jata hai na in times of crisis.
