Does bronchitis come with fever?

My son has had a cough for a few days, and now he's running a low fever. I'm wondering if it could be bronchitis. Does bronchitis usually come with a fever, or is it sometimes without?

Yes, bronchitis often comes with a mild, low-grade fever as your body reacts to the infection. Please make sure to get plenty of rest and consult a doctor if the fever doesn't go away.

It was so hard for me when I had bronchitis because the fever made me feel extremely weak, and I couldn't even stand up to make tea. It is completely normal to feel drained and emotional when your body is fighting this. Just listen to your body and let yourself rest.

When I had acute bronchitis last winter, I ran a mild fever of about 100 degrees for the first three days. Once the fever broke, the heavy cough still continued for another week. That was just my experience, so it is always best to check with a physician.

Hey, don't stress too much. Yes, a mild fever is super common with bronchitis, it's just your immune system doing its job. Sip some warm water, wrap yourself in a blanket, and let the doctor's medicines do their work.

I am not completely sure about all cases, but when I had a bad chest cold, my doctor said a mild fever can accompany bronchitis. Since my body is sensitive to inflammation because of PCOS, I always prefer to consult my doctor for safety. You should also get it checked.
