Does breastfeeding increase the risk of breast cancer?

I'm planning to have a baby soon, and I'm researching all the benefits and risks. I've heard some old wives' tales, but I'm trying to get accurate information. Does breastfeeding increase the risk of breast cancer?

Definitely not, it actually reduces the risk. During lactation, the breast cells mature and are less prone to turning cancerous. Keep a clean diet, stay active, and feed your baby to keep yourself healthy.

No, actually it is the opposite. Breastfeeding actually decreases the risk of breast cancer. However, regardless of whether you breastfeed or not, regular self-checks and doctor follow-ups are a must for every woman.

No, it does not increase the risk. My wife's doctor clarified that it actually lowers it. Just like managing your blood sugar through healthy eating lowers overall body inflammation, breastfeeding serves as a natural defense system.

Nahi yaar, aisa bilkul nahi hai. Breastfeeding se toh risk kam hota hai na. Doctor bhi yahi bolte hain ki baby ko feed karwana dono ke liye sabse best hai.

No, it reduces the risk. My oncologist friend explained that lactating limits the total number of menstrual cycles a woman has in her lifetime, thereby reducing exposure to estrogen hormones which are linked to breast cancer.
