Does bp increase during heart attack?

I have a family history of heart disease and high blood pressure, so I'm always very careful. I wanted to understand more about heart attack symptoms. Does BP increase during a heart attack, or can it be low too?

I was actually reading about this yesterday because my uncle has high BP. It seems it can go either way—sometimes it spikes because of anxiety, and sometimes it falls. Better not to rely on BP readings during emergencies.

I usually try home remedies for gas and mild chest tightness, but for heart concerns, please be very careful. BP can fluctuate highly during an attack. Do not try any home tricks, just take the patient to a clinic immediately.

With our stressful lives, BP rises just looking at the monthly bills! But seriously, during an actual heart attack, BP can rise or fall. Don't waste time looking for the BP cuff, call an ambulance first.

I just survived a cardiac event last month. My blood pressure actually dropped very low because the heart muscle was struggling to pump. So no, it does not always increase. If you feel sudden pain or sweating, see a doctor instantly.

My grandmother had an episode last year and we were confused because her BP machine showed normal readings. The doctor told us that BP isn't a reliable way to diagnose an attack. Please take your loved ones to a hospital if they feel unwell.

I panicked once when my dad's BP shot up during a bad panic attack, thinking it was a heart attack. The doctor reassured us that anxiety also causes spikes. But they did an ECG to be safe, which is always the best way to be sure.

I once ignored a heavy feeling in my chest thinking it was just a temporary BP rise from stress, and it was a huge mistake that landed me in the ICU. Please don't wait for BP numbers. Go get a proper cardiac checkup right away.

I have PCOS which already puts me at risk for metabolic issues, so I keep learning about cardiac health. From what I know, BP during an attack is unpredictable. It is always safer to trust a medical professional than guessing at home.
