Does bone cancer show up in blood work?

My father recently had some blood tests done due to ongoing body aches, and we are anxiously waiting for the results. I was wondering if bone cancer shows up in routine blood work, or are specific tests needed?

Regular blood tests can sometimes show high alkaline phosphatase, but they are not enough to confirm bone cancer. We delayed my father's diagnosis by relying on basic tests. Please go to a hospital and get an MRI or bone scan done if you suspect anything.

A standard CBC won't pinpoint bone cancer. You specifically need imaging tests like X-rays, CT scans, or a bone biopsy for a real diagnosis. Don't waste time trying to decode routine blood reports on your own.

Hey, please don't let those blood test numbers scare you. A routine blood report usually cannot diagnose bone cancer directly. Take a deep breath, and let a qualified doctor look at the symptoms properly.

My health app shows blood markers for overall wellness, but cancer detection requires specialized diagnostic tools. While some blood enzymes might spike, only advanced imaging like PET scans can confirm bone tumors.

No, bone cancer does not typically show up in routine blood work; you need imaging and biopsies for that.

Instead of getting ten different blood tests done at local labs, it is better to take an appointment with a specialist in a good government or private hospital. They will tell you exactly which scan is needed without wasting your hard-earned money.

Yes, I agree that routine blood tests are not enough. You must consult an orthopedic specialist for proper scans.

Don't search for cancer symptoms or diagnostic methods on internet forums. Half the information online is misleading and will only cause unnecessary panic. Go to a reputed oncologist and get a professional opinion.
