Does blue cross blue shield cover tb test?

I'm applying for a job abroad and they require a TB test as part of the medical examination. I was hoping my health insurance would cover it. Do health insurance policies generally cover TB tests?

Hello, I need to get a TB test done for my college admission. Does BCBS cover both the skin test and the blood test, or is only one of them free? I am a bit confused and don't want my parents to pay extra.

Yes, they do cover it. My son needed a TB clearance for his school hostel and BCBS covered the lab test fully. Just make sure you take them to an approved laboratory that is in-network with your plan so there are no extra charges.

With diabetes, our immunity can be slightly lower, so getting routine tests like TB screening is very important. BCBS covered my test without any issue. Just keep your blood sugar in control with a low-carb diet to stay healthy.

I totally get it, waiting for medical tests can make you feel so anxious. BCBS has very reliable coverage for TB screenings, so you don't have to worry about the financial part. Take care and stay positive.

I got my TB blood test done last year before starting a new job, and my BCBS plan covered the entire cost of the lab work. I didn't have to pay anything out of pocket at the clinic.

Yes, BCBS covers TB tests 100% as it falls under routine preventive care or infectious disease screening. Just book an appointment at Quest or Labcorp and show your insurance card, they will handle the rest.

They definitely cover TB testing as it's a standard screening. While you wait for the results, try to keep your lungs healthy and immune system strong with daily morning walks in the fresh air, if your doctor says it's okay.
