Does blue 1 cause cancer?

My child loves brightly coloured sweets and drinks, and I've been trying to check the ingredients. I saw 'Blue 1' listed in some things. I read somewhere that some artificial colours can be harmful. Does Blue 1 cause cancer?

There are so many rumors online about artificial dyes like Blue 1. With my thyroid condition, I have learned not to panic over everything but to focus on eating clean, whole foods instead of packaged items with synthetic colors. It's always best to get regular health checkups and ask your doctor if you have specific concerns.

Yaar, if every food color caused cancer, we'd all be glowing in the dark by now! Blue 1 is approved by food safety authorities in limited quantities. Unless you are drinking blue syrup by the bucket daily, you are totally fine, chill!

Haan, modern internet spreads so much panic about these food colors na. Blue 1 is actually cleared by FDA and food safety boards, so small amounts in candies or drinks won't harm you. Still, avoiding too much junk food is always a good idea for health.

Haan na, even I read somewhere that these artificial colors are bad for kids. But cancer is a big word, it is not directly linked like that in normal food amounts. I try to make colorful food at home using beetroot or spinach instead, much safer ho na.

Honestly, I also get very scared when I read food labels and see things like Blue 1 or Red 40. I recently stopped eating blue sweets because of this fear. Has anyone else felt this anxiety or noticed any digestion issues after having colored foods?

Actually, it is all about moderation yaar. Companies use very tiny amounts of Blue 1 in chocolates and energy drinks. It is safe according to food laws, so no need to overthink and stress about cancer over a blue lollipop!

According to scientific research, Blue 1 is a water-soluble dye that is mostly excreted from the body without being absorbed. My family doctor also confirmed that there is no solid clinical evidence linking typical dietary intake of Blue 1 to cancer. He just advised limiting packaged foods to maintain gut health.
