Does blinking rapidly help you sleep?

I've been having trouble with insomnia for quite some time now, and I'm open to trying anything. I saw an article claiming that blinking rapidly can help induce sleep. Is there any truth to this?

It actually works for me sometimes! Blinking rapidly for 30 seconds makes your eyes super heavy and tired, making it easier to drift off to sleep. 😊

Honestly, just washing your face with cool water and keeping a dark room works best. No need to overcomplicate things with rapid blinking.

Sleep issues can be linked to hormonal imbalances like thyroid. While these blinking tricks are okay for a night, get your blood tests done if it is a regular issue.

Don't worry too much about sleeplessness on odd days. Just close your eyes, listen to light music, and let your body relax completely without pushing for sleep.

I totally get it, lying awake in the dark is very frustrating. Trying small physical distractions like blinking can sometimes break that cycle of overthinking.
