Does black mold cause fever?

My family has been feeling unwell for a few weeks now, with persistent fevers and coughs, and we recently discovered some black mold in our bathroom. I'm worried if this black mold could be causing our fevers.

My elder sister always says that dampness in the house brings bad health, which is very true. Exposure to black mold can trigger allergic reactions and sinus issues, which might lead to a mild fever. Please get the mold cleaned first and visit a doctor if the fever persists.

Do not start taking random anti-allergy pills from the internet. If you have a fever and suspect it is due to mold in your walls, you need to see a physician for a proper diagnosis. Fever can be a sign of many different infections, so get verified medical advice.

Yes, mold allergies can sometimes cause fever-like symptoms or respiratory distress. Please make sure you clean the damp area and rest well. Hope you feel better soon.

Damp walls in the rainy season are very bad for chest health, especially for children and elders. We used to burn dry neem leaves to clear the air, but nowadays it is best to use vinegar to clean the walls. If anyone has a fever, give them warm ginger tea and take them to a clinic.

While black mold inhalation typically causes respiratory issues like coughing and sneezing, a persistent fever suggests a secondary infection or a strong inflammatory response. It is highly advisable to consult a general physician and have your home professionally treated for dampness.
