Does beard oil cause dandruff?

Recently started using beard oil to keep my beard soft and shiny. But since then, some flakes have appeared. Could beard oil actually be causing dandruff? Yaar, don't want to spoil my beard for this.

Beard oil can build up and cause flaking if you don't wash it properly, which looks like dandruff. Instead of buying expensive dermatological oils, just plan to buy a basic, affordable beard wash. It keeps the skin clean without costing a fortune.

My brother just started growing his beard and has some white flakes. Does beard oil actually cause this, or is he just not washing it enough? I'm quite new to this and would love some gentle advice for him.

If you don't wash your beard thoroughly, any oil will clog your pores and cause yeast buildup, leading to beard dandruff. It's a classic mistake. Just use 2-3 drops max, rub it into the skin, and wash it out properly during your morning shower.

Excessive use of synthetic products often disturbs the natural balance of our skin. In my experience, keeping the body cool with pranayama and using a tiny bit of natural coconut oil is much better than chemical beard oils that dry out the skin.

Skin issues can be very tricky and sensitive, especially if you have hormonal imbalances. If the beard flaking is severe or itchy, please don't just guess with different oils. It is much safer to get a quick skin checkup from a dermatologist.
