Does batana oil cause dandruff?

I recently started using batana oil for my hair to improve its health and shine. However, I've noticed a bit of flakiness lately and am worried if the oil might be causing dandruff. Does batana oil cause dandruff for some people?

I have severe thyroid issues and my hair gets dry, but whenever I try heavy oils like batana or castor oil, my scalp gets clogged and causes dandruff. Heavy oils can sometimes trap yeast on the scalp. It's always best to check with a dermatologist if you have persistent scalp issues.

Yes, heavy oils can build up and trigger dandruff. Better to use a light tea tree oil instead.

I panicked so much when I saw white flakes after using batana oil for the first time! But then I realized I was just applying way too much and not washing it off properly. Once I reduced the quantity and washed it within an hour, my scalp became totally fine.

Haan, if your scalp is already oily, then thick oils will definitely cause dandruff na. It is better to apply it only on the hair ends rather than clogging the roots. Or just wash it off with a mild shampoo in thirty minutes.

I totally relate to trying exotic oils for hair growth! But batana oil is super rich, and if you leave it on for too long, it can absolutely feed the scalp fungus and cause flaking. Try using it just once a week and washing it out thoroughly.
