Does back pain cause vomiting?

My elderly mother has been experiencing severe back pain for the last few days, and today she also started vomiting. We are very concerned. Can intense back pain sometimes cause vomiting?

Honestly, regular muscular back pain doesn't usually cause vomiting. If my fitness tracker shows a huge heart rate spike along with this, I'd worry. If both are happening together, it could be a nerve issue or something internal, so please track your symptoms and consult a doctor soon.

I have to be very careful with my body because of diabetes, and back pain with nausea is never normal. Sometimes extreme pain can make you feel throwing up, but it can also be related to kidney issues or severe gastric trouble. Please don't try home remedies for this and see a doctor.

Please go to a doctor immediately. I once ignored intense back pain that lead to severe vomiting and it turned out to be a major kidney infection that got complicated. Do not wait to see if it gets better on its own.

In the gym, we deal with severe muscle sprains all the time, but they never cause vomiting. If you are throwing up, it is not a simple gym injury or posture issue. Better to rest up and get a medical professional to check what is going on inside.

Oh god, that sounds really awful, I can totally feel your pain. I had severe back aches during my periods that made me super nauseous, but actual vomiting is quite extreme. Try to lie down in a comfortable position and please get a doctor to check it out today itself.
