Does asthma get worse with age?

My father has had asthma for decades, and recently his attacks have become more frequent and severe. I'm wondering if asthma tends to get worse as people get older, or if this is just a phase for him.

I manage PCOS and know how hormone changes affect the body over time. I am not completely sure about asthma, but I have read that lung elasticity can change as we grow older, so it is best to be gentle with yourself.

As our bodies grow older, we must adapt with patience and daily care. Keep practicing light pranayama, stay peaceful, and let your doctor guide your health journey.

Honestly, my uncle's asthma actually got way more manageable as he improved his lifestyle with age. It is all about how active you stay and how well you avoid your triggers, bro.

It is completely normal to feel scared thinking about your health worsening in the future. Just focus on today, keep up with your regular doctor visits, and try not to worry too much about what might happen years from now.

If you don't take care of your lung health now, yes, age can make recovery slower. Focus on doing basic cardio, avoiding dust, and getting your annual flu shots to keep your lungs strong.

Lung capacity naturally declines as we age, which can make asthma symptoms feel more prominent. Regular checkups and keeping a handy inhaler are key to managing this busy lifestyle.

I can only share that my own asthma has stayed pretty much the same over the last twenty years. I just stick to my regular routine and avoid going out in heavy dust or cold morning air.
