Does arthritis hurt more in cold weather?

Every winter, my joint pain becomes almost unbearable, even with medication. My family says it's because of the cold weather. Does arthritis genuinely hurt more when it's cold?

Winters used to make me cry because my joints felt like blocks of ice and the pain was unbearable. I felt so helpless. Please know that it is completely normal to feel more pain when it's cold, so be very gentle with yourself.

Oh, absolutely! Cold weather makes the joint fluids go a bit sluggish. Don't stress too much, just wear warm clothes, keep a hot water bag handy, and we will get through this winter easily!

The cold weather brings stiffness, but keeping your mind calm and positive helps the body cope with the discomfort. Keep yourself warm, do your gentle prayers or meditation, and take good care of your health.

My son's joint stiffness definitely increases when the temperature drops in December. We make sure he wears warm layers even indoors and keep his room comfortable. Consistent doctor-approved routines keep him active.

In our hilly areas, cold weather is very tough on the joints. I apply warm mustard oil gently, which helps a lot. But if the stiffness becomes too severe, you must visit your doctor for clinical advice.
