Does arthritis hurt more at night?

I find that my knee pain gets significantly worse in the evenings and at night, making it hard to sleep. Is it common for arthritis pain to intensify specifically during nighttime hours?

Yes, many patients report increased pain at night, often due to a drop in the body's natural anti-inflammatory hormones or joint stiffness from inactivity. It is best to consult your doctor to adjust your medication timing for better sleep.

I get so anxious when the pain starts creeping up after dinner, making me worry if I'll even sleep at all. It is really stressful, but you are definitely not alone in feeling this. Please talk to your doc about a safe night-time routine.

Totally, bro. Once you lie down and there are no distractions, the throbbing in the joints feels way louder. I usually use a heating pad before sleeping, but checking with your doctor is the real fix.

My joints definitely ache more at night, which sometimes disturbs my sleep and affects my blood pressure. Keeping a steady daily schedule and regular medical follow-ups has helped me manage both issues much better.

Haan beta, when the body rests, the joints get cold and stiff, so it hurts more. I always keep my knees covered with a warm blanket and drink thoda warm milk before sleeping.
