Does argan oil help dandruff?

My scalp has been very itchy and flaky lately, and I think it's dandruff. I'm trying natural remedies, and someone suggested argan oil. Does argan oil really help reduce dandruff?

I tried putting argan oil on my scalp thinking it would solve my dandruff, but it actually fed the yeast and made my seborrheic dermatitis way worse. My hair started falling out in clumps. Please see a skin specialist before putting heavy oils on an itchy scalp.

Argan oil is great for hair texture, but dandruff often comes from poor gut health or sweating post-workout. I found that washing my hair right after physical activity and eating cleaner cut down my dandruff significantly. Give your diet a look too.

I want to try argan oil for my dry scalp, but I'm terrified it will make my hair even more greasy and clog my pores. Has anyone else with severe dandruff tried it? Did it actually reduce the flaking or make it worse?

Argan oil won't cure fungal dandruff, but it is excellent if your scalp is just dry and peeling. My tip: apply a few drops only to the hair ends and slightly on the scalp, then wash it off with a mild ketoconazole shampoo after an hour. Works beautifully.

Let's be real, argan oil is just a conditioner for your hair strands. If you have actual dandruff, you need an active ingredient like zinc pyrithione or salicylic acid. Don't waste money on expensive oils expecting them to cure a scalp condition.

At my age, half my hair is gone and the rest is fighting dandruff! I tried argan oil because my daughter suggested it, and while my hair looks shinier, the flakes are still very much there. Guess I'll stick to my old anti-dandruff shampoo and accept my fate.

I was researching this yesterday because my scalp is so itchy. From what I read, argan oil is amazing for dry scalp, but if your dandruff is fungal, oil might not be the best idea. Still trying to figure out which type of dandruff I have.
