Does apple cider vinegar help with dandruff?

I've tried so many anti-dandruff shampoos, but nothing seems to get rid of my dandruff completely. My cousin suggested using apple cider vinegar as a rinse. Does apple cider vinegar really help with dandruff?

Yes, it can help with dandruff because of its antifungal properties. Just make sure you dilute it with water before applying.

I have tried so many things for my itchy scalp over the years. Highly diluted ACV actually works well to clear up dandruff, but it can be drying. Try mixing one spoon of ACV in a mug of water, use it as a final rinse, and wash it off within two minutes.

My teenage son had terrible dandruff last winter. We tried a very mild diluted ACV rinse twice a week and it did help reduce the itchiness. Just make sure it doesn't get into their eyes, as it sting quite badly.

In my younger days, we always used sour curd or lemon juice for dandruff, which is much more gentle. This apple cider vinegar can also work, but don't use it too often as it can make your hair very dry and rough. Use it carefully.

I used to have severe dandruff and tried ACV rinses. It definitely helps control the fungus, but you must dilute it 1:5 with water, otherwise your scalp will burn. Also, do not leave it on for more than 5 minutes before rinsing it out thoroughly.

My mother always tells me to use warm coconut oil with camphor for scalp health. However, when my dandruff became severe, my dermatologist advised using a proper ketoconazole shampoo instead of kitchen vinegar. It is always safer to trust a doctor's advice.
