Does appendicitis cause fever?

I've been having some pain in my lower right side, and a friend mentioned it could be appendicitis. I don't feel feverish at all. Is fever a definite symptom of appendicitis?

Yes, it can cause a mild to high fever as the infection in the appendix increases. It is a sign of inflammation, similar to how our body reacts to other infections. If you notice a fever along with severe right-sided abdominal pain, you need to visit a clinic immediately for a proper checkup.

Yes, it can run a fever as your body fights the infection! Usually, the stomach pain starts first around the belly button and then a mild fever kicks in. Stay safe and get it checked by a doc soon!

Yes, fever is common, but waiting for it to become a high fever can be very dangerous. In my case, I delayed going to the hospital because my fever was very low, and my appendix actually ruptured, causing a severe abdominal infection. Please consult a doctor immediately if you suspect appendicitis.

Yes, appendicitis definitely causes a fever in many cases, usually along with nausea and that classic sharp pain on the lower right side. When my sister had it, her temperature shot up suddenly within a few hours. Please don't ignore it if you are feeling feverish with stomach pain.

Bro, yes, it does. I got my appendix removed last year, and I had a mild fever of about 100 degrees along with crazy stomach pain that made it hard to even walk. If you are having both of these symptoms, don't sit at home, just head straight to the emergency room.

Yes, fever is a common symptom of appendicitis. If you have a busy schedule, don't waste time hoping the pain and fever will go away with paracetamol. Get an ultrasound done at a local diagnostic lab quickly so you have the report ready for the doctor.
