Does an anxiety attack feel like a heart attack?

Lately, I've been having these episodes where my heart races, I feel short of breath, and think something terrible is happening. Someone mentioned it could be an anxiety attack, but it feels so much like a heart attack. How do I tell the difference?

Yes, it absolutely feels very similar because your chest gets tight and you can't breathe properly. When I first had it, I panicked, but daily slow pranayama has helped me ground myself. However, if you are experiencing this right now, please see a doctor first to rule out any actual cardiac issues.

I used to get these sudden racing heartbeats and thought it was a heart attack, but my doctor ran tests and found my thyroid levels were completely off. Please get your basic blood panel and thyroid checked alongside a heart checkup. Routine doctor visits really save you from this constant panic.

Haan yaar, bilkul same lagta hai. Chhati mein dard hota hai aur lagta hai abhi kuch ho jayega, but actually it is just anxiety. Par safety ke liye ek baar checkup kara lo na, dimag ko shanti mil jayegi.

Even though anxiety is very common and mimics chest tightness, you should never assume it is just panic. Chest pain or sudden shortness of breath needs immediate medical attention. Please go to an emergency room or a cardiologist to get an ECG done first.

The physical symptoms of panic attacks, like sweating, rapid heart rate, and chest pressure, are virtually identical to a cardiac event. While it is likely anxiety if you are young and healthy, clinical confirmation is essential. A doctor's evaluation is the only safe way to distinguish between the two.

Honestly, during exams, my chest felt so heavy and my arm was aching, I was convinced I was having a heart attack at 20. Turns out it was just a massive panic attack. It is crazy how much our mind can mess with our body.
