Does aleve treat fever?

My sister has a fever and some body aches. We have some Aleve tablets at home, but I wanted to confirm if it's generally effective for treating fever, or if we should get something else.

I am not very sure about this medicine as I usually take paracetamol for fever. Can we safely take Aleve if we also have body aches with the fever? I would love to know if anyone has tried it.

Yes, it treats fever. But if your fever doesn't go away in 2-3 days, don't waste money on over-the-counter pills. Plan a budget for a proper CBC or blood test to find out what's causing it.

I had a bad fever last month and used it. It did bring the temperature down and kept it down for almost 10-12 hours, which was great. Just make sure you don't take too many in a day.

Yes, it works for fever. However, when you are down with a fever, make sure you keep hydrated and eat proper diabetic-friendly meals even if you don't feel like it. Consult your doctor to ensure it doesn't clash with your routine meds.

It brought my fever down but I felt a bit of stomach burning after taking it. Did anyone else experience acidity with Aleve? I'm always so worried about trying new fever medicines.

Yes, it acts as a fever reducer because it's an NSAID. But keep in mind that paracetamol is generally gentler on the stomach for a basic fever. If you use Aleve, always take it with food to avoid irritation.
