Does advil hurt your liver?

My mother has been taking Advil for her arthritis pain for a long time now. Her friend told her that too much Advil can hurt her liver. Is this true?

Hey, don't stress too much! Advil is actually processed mostly by your kidneys, so it doesn't hurt your liver like paracetamol does. Just don't make it a daily habit and you'll be totally fine.

Beta, any chemical medicine taken in excess will put a burden on your body. For small aches, try drinking warm milk with turmeric (haldi) or doing simple hot fermentation. Use these English medicines only when absolutely needed.

Haan, sahi baat hai, thoda toh dhyan rakhna hi padta hai na. Kabhi kabhaar lene se liver kharab nahi hota, par agar aap har dard ke liye isse khane lagoge toh nuksaan ho sakta hai.

If you are taking it once in a couple of weeks, there is absolutely no risk to your liver. Just don't self-prescribe for chronic pain; get a proper diagnosis from a physician to save time and worry.

I had severe gastric issues after taking painkillers for a week. Please be cautious and never take these medicines continuously without a doctor's prescription. It's always safer to get a checkup first.
