Does advil help abdominal pain?

I get really bad abdominal cramps sometimes, especially before my period. I usually take a different painkiller, but I have Advil at home. Does Advil work for relieving abdominal pain?

Advil might mask the pain temporarily, but for mild stomach cramps, I find a gentle 15-minute walk helps stimulate digestion. Of course, check with your physician if the pain is severe or if you are allowed light activity.

Avoid taking Advil blindly for stomach pain as it can actually worsen gastritis or acidity, wasting your money on further digestive tests. A simple antacid or warm water is cheaper and safer first. If pain persists, better to pay for a doctor's consultation directly.

Haan na, pet dard mein direct Advil nahi khani chahiye, it can cause severe acidity. Mera toh jab bhi pet dukhata hai, main thoda hing ka pani peeti hoon. Doctor se pooch kar hi aisi goliya liya karo.

Dekho, abdominal pain acidity se bhi ho sakta hai aur appendix ka bhi ho sakta hai. Advil kha ke use dabaane ki koshish mat karo. Agar thoda normal pain hai toh rest karo, nahi toh seedhe hospital jao.

With thyroid, my digestive system is already very sensitive and I avoid NSAIDs like Advil because they irritate the stomach lining. Better to get blood tests and an ultrasound done if the abdominal pain is recurring, rather than self-treating.

I know how scary sudden abdominal pain can feel, your mind instantly goes to the worst case scenarios. Take a deep breath. Advil isn't always the best for stomach aches, so try talking to a doctor to safely find the exact cause.
