Does advil affect the liver?

I take Advil pretty regularly for my headaches and muscle pain. My sister told me to be careful because it might affect my liver. Is Advil known to have an impact on liver health?

Babu, bina doctor se pooche koi bhi dard ki goli lagatar nahi khani chahiye. Ye sab dawa andar pet aur kidney pe asar karti hai, dhyan rakha karo.

Actually, Advil is ibuprofen, which is mostly processed by your kidneys rather than the liver. But if you abuse it or take it on an empty stomach, it can cause severe acidity and kidney issues, so be careful.

Advil usually affects the stomach lining and kidneys more than the liver, unlike paracetamol. But don't pop these painkillers like candy, it's not good for your body at all.

I used to take ibuprofen often for back pain until my doctor warned me about stomach ulcers and kidney strain. If you need pain relief, always take it after meals and never exceed the daily recommended limit.

Any painkiller can have hidden side effects depending on your existing health. Please consult your family doctor before taking Advil regularly to make sure your kidneys and liver are totally safe.
