Does adrenaline numb pain?

After my bike accident last month, I didn't feel much pain initially, it came much later. Someone told me it was because of adrenaline. Does adrenaline really numb pain like that?

Bro yes, absolutely! I fell off my bike during a college match and didn't feel a thing until I got home, all thanks to that crazy adrenaline rush.

My physician explained that during high-stress situations, the brain releases endorphins and adrenaline which temporarily block pain signals. It is a biological survival mechanism known as stress-induced analgesia.

It is nature's beautiful way of protecting us in moments of danger so we can save ourselves. Take care of your body and let it heal when the rush settles down.

It does mask pain for a bit, but don't ignore any injury because of it. Better to spend a little on a basic X-ray now rather than paying for expensive orthopedic treatments later if an internal injury gets worse.

Haan, it temporarily numbs the pain so you can run or react in an emergency. But remember, once the shock wears off, that pain will hit you twice as hard, so go get checked.
