Does acv dissolve kidney stones?

My brother has kidney stones and is in a lot of pain. Someone told him that drinking apple cider vinegar can help dissolve them. Is this true, does ACV dissolve kidney stones?

No, Apple Cider Vinegar cannot dissolve existing kidney stones. While the acetic acid in it might help prevent new stones from forming, it won't melt a stone that's already there. Save your time and consult a urologist instead of relying on internet myths.

I track my daily water intake diligently on my fitness app, and that's the best way to prevent and flush out tiny kidney stones. While ACV is rumored to help, there's no solid clinical evidence that it dissolves stones. Focus on drinking at least 3-4 liters of water daily as tracked by your app.

Though some laboratory studies show acetic acid can break down certain minerals, drinking diluted ACV is highly unlikely to dissolve a formed kidney stone in the human body. Depending on the size of the stone, medical intervention or specific medications are required. Please seek a professional medical opinion.

It doesn't dissolve them. Please consult a doctor and drink plenty of water to help pass small stones naturally.

I have dealt with kidney stones twice in my life, and let me tell you, only proper medical treatment and drinking massive amounts of water worked. Trying to drink vinegar to dissolve stones will only give you bad throat irritation and acidity. Don't worry, just see a doctor and follow their advice.

I went through the pain of passing a 6mm kidney stone last year, and ACV did absolutely nothing to dissolve it. What actually helped was my doctor's prescribed medicine to relax the urinary tract, combined with coconut water and barley water. Skip the vinegar and focus on proper hydration.
