Does acidity cause gas in the stomach?

After almost every meal, I suffer from a lot of stomach gas and discomfort, along with acidity. I suspect they're related. Does acidity cause gas specifically in the stomach, leading to this bloated feeling?

I know how scary it feels when your stomach swells up and feels super tight from gas and acid. It makes you feel like something is seriously wrong inside your body. But yes, high acid levels disrupt normal digestion, which naturally leads to a lot of gas build-up.

Haan babu, pet me garmi hone se gas banti hi hai. Jab hum zyada mirch masala kha lete hain toh acidity ke sath pet fula fula lagta hai. Thoda thanda doodh piyo ya saunf ka pani piyo, aaram milega.

Yes, medically speaking, excess hydrochloric acid in the stomach reacts with food and creates excess gas, leading to that bloated feeling. Avoid taking random over-the-counter gas pills every day. Focus on eating fiber-rich food and staying hydrated instead.

Yes, it does. In our desk jobs, sitting for hours combined with acidity from constant tea or coffee creates massive stomach gas. Make sure you take short walks every hour and limit your caffeine intake during work hours.

I was dealing with this painful stomach bloating for weeks and realized it was my chronic acidity causing it. Once I started taking my doctor's prescribed antacid before breakfast, the stomach gas also stopped completely. Eating smaller meals also helped a lot.
