Does a varicocele cause pain?

My doctor diagnosed me with a varicocele recently, and I've been feeling some discomfort. I'm not sure if the varicocele is actually the reason for the pain I'm experiencing. Does a varicocele typically cause pain?

Sometimes our body experiences these physical blocks, but keeping a calm mind helps us heal better. Yes, it can cause a dull ache, especially when you stand for long. Take deep breaths, stay positive, and do visit a doctor to get the right guidance on how to manage it.

I lived with grade 2 varicocele for two years. Yes, it definitely causes a heavy, dragging pain, especially by evening or after workouts. My tip is to avoid tight clothing, wear supportive underwear, and don't lift heavy weights without consulting your urologist first.

When I first felt that dragging pain down there, I honestly panicked and thought it was something super dangerous. But my doctor did an ultrasound and explained it is just a varicocele and very common. The pain is mild for most people, so don't stress too much but do get a scan done.

Ugh, this thing is the reason I couldn't sleep properly last week because of that annoying ache. It is not like a sharp stabbing pain, but a constant dull throbbing that just won't leave you alone. Take a cold shower and get it checked so you don't lose sleep like me.

I read so much about this online and got totally freaked out about fertility and chronic pain. Some people say it hurts a lot and others feel nothing at all. If you are feeling even a little pain, please show it to a urologist just to be absolutely sure and avoid unnecessary worry.

My husband went through this last year and yes, he used to get a dull ache after standing for long hours at work. It really helped when he started wearing supportive briefs instead of boxers. It is a very common issue, so just book a quick appointment with a specialist to ease your mind!
