Does a lipid panel test liver function?

Just went through this whole confusion last month when my cholesterol was high. A lipid profile only checks the fats in your blood, not how your liver is actually working. My doc had to write a separate LFT test for my liver, so definitely get that done instead if you have doubts.

At my age, half my salary goes into these blood tests so I've become an expert! Lipid is just for cholesterol, yaara, it won't tell you about the liver. For liver you need LFT, though honestly both reports just tell me to stop eating fried food!
