Does a hernia cause pain in the testicles?

Recently, I've been feeling some discomfort and pain in my testicles. My doctor mentioned it could be a hernia, but I thought hernias cause pain in the groin or abdomen. Can a hernia actually cause pain in the testicle area?

I was actually reading up on this recently because of a general health project. Apparently, an inguinal hernia can push down into the scrotum, which can cause quite a bit of discomfort or aching there. Quite a scary thing to read about!

Yes, it actually can! An inguinal hernia often refers pain down to that area. It is very common, so no need to panic, but getting a quick doctor checkup is the best way to sort it out.

I completely understand the anxiety and embarrassment of dealing with pain in such a sensitive area, it really took a toll on my mental peace. Please don't suffer in silence or feel awkward. Go see a urologist, they handle this everyday.

Yes, it does. My main advice is to avoid lifting heavy weights or straining right now as it makes the pressure much worse. Wear supportive undergarments and schedule a consultation with a general surgeon to discuss treatment options.

I had a similar issue back in my 40s and worried myself sick thinking it was something far worse. It turned out to be a simple hernia that was easily corrected. Don't worry, just get it checked by a good doctor.

I literally had this exact issue three months ago and had my hernia surgery recently. The pressure in my scrotum completely disappeared after the procedure. Definitely get an ultrasound done to confirm if it is a hernia.

Instead of worrying and searching online, go to your local government hospital or a trust clinic, a general surgeon's consultation is very affordable. They will just do a quick physical check and tell you exactly what to do next.

While I mostly deal with hormonal health issues, I know that pelvic pressure and referred pain can be very tricky to self-diagnose. It's always safer not to assume and let a specialist do a proper physical checkup.

Yes, a groin hernia can definitely cause a dull ache or heavy feeling in the testicle area, especially when standing or coughing. It's a mechanical issue that doctors can easily diagnose. Please get a physical exam done soon.
