Does a heat pad help with back pain?

I've had a nagging lower back pain for a few days now, especially after sitting for long hours at work. My wife suggested trying a heat pad. Does it actually help relieve back pain effectively, or is it just a temporary comfort?

Yes, it absolutely does! I use my electric heating gel bag whenever my back feels stiff from sitting all day. It relaxes the muscles instantly and feels so cozy. Definitely give it a try for quick relief!

My heating pad is my second spouse at this point, honestly. It does wonders for those weird back aches we get just by sneezing wrong in our 30s. Just don't fall asleep with it on high unless you want to roast yourself.

I had terrible lower back stiffness last month because of a bad gym posture. Using a heating pad for 15 minutes twice a day really helped loosen up the muscles so I could stretch. It definitely works for normal muscular spasms.

It really helps me during my periods and when my back aches from long office hours. I bought a rechargeable gel pad from Amazon and it works like a charm. Just make sure the heat is comfortable and not too hot.

Warm fermentation is very good, you can also use warm sesame oil with a bit of garlic massage before using the pad. But if the pain is radiating down your legs or if there is numbness, don't rely on home remedies. Go see an orthopaedic doctor.
