Does a foetus feel pain during abortion?

This is a very sensitive topic, but I've been thinking about it and wanted to ask, purely for knowledge. Does a foetus feel any pain if an abortion is performed? I hear conflicting opinions.

From a purely scientific perspective, the brain connections and nervous system required to perceive pain aren't developed until after 24 weeks. Most procedures happen much earlier than that when they cannot feel anything. Take care of your health first, physical recovery is very important.

This is a very emotional time and it is natural to have such thoughts. Doctors always explain that in the early stages, the baby is not developed enough to feel any pain. Focus on eating warm, nourishing home-cooked meals and give yourself time to heal physically.

Please try to stay positive and keep your mind at peace. Nature is very compassionate, and in the early stages of life, there is no conscious awareness of pain. Take deep breaths, pray, and focus on healing your body and soul during this time.

Honestly, with my twins keeping me up all night, I've read every baby book out there. Medical consensus is very clear that the wiring for pain simply isn't there in the early stages of pregnancy. Don't let late-night internet searches make you feel guilty about medical decisions.

I can completely understand how overwhelming and painful these thoughts must be for you right now, the anxiety can be so heavy. Please reassure yourself with the medical fact that a fetus does not feel pain in the early gestational stages. Be very gentle with your mental health right now.
