Does a fever always come with pneumonia?

My elderly mother has been having a persistent cough and feeling very weak, but her temperature is only slightly elevated. Her doctor is checking for pneumonia, so I wanted to ask if a fever is always present with it, yaani, must it always come with pneumonia?

I know how stressful it is when you are constantly checking the thermometer and wondering what is wrong. But actually, pneumonia can sometimes be silent, meaning you might not have any fever at all. Please don't let the lack of fever make you delay getting it checked by a doctor if you feel unwell.

My roommate had walking pneumonia last semester and he didn't run a fever at all, just had a really annoying dry cough that wouldn't go away. We thought it was just a normal dust allergy till he got an X-ray done. Definitely get it checked if your chest feels heavy.

Haan na, people think pneumonia means heavy fever always, but that is not true. Sometimes there is only a bad cough and heavy chest pain without any temperature. It is better to go to a family clinic and let the doctor listen to your lungs.

Keep your mind calm and stay positive, dear friend. Sometimes illness manifests quietly without the warning of a fever, especially in older adults. Take proper rest, keep praying for good health, and let a qualified doctor guide your recovery path.

No, it doesn't always show up as a fever. Even if you have good immunity and eat clean, a lung infection can still happen quietly with just fatigue or a drop in your stamina during workouts. Listen to your body and rest instead of forcing yourself to exercise through it.

Hey, don't stress too much about the symptoms you read online! While fever is common, pneumonia can absolutely occur without it, showing up as just a nasty cough or breathing trouble. Just book a quick doctor consult so you can get the right advice and stop worrying.
