Does a fever accompany strep throat?

My daughter has been having a very sore throat for two days now, but she doesn't have a fever yet. My friend said it could be strep throat, so I'm wondering if a fever always comes with it before I take her to the doctor.

Don't panic, but yes, a fever is very common when your throat is fighting a bacterial infection like strep. Keep yourself hydrated with warm water and take plenty of rest. If the temperature is rising too fast, just get a doctor to check it today so you can start the right medicine.

Yes, a sudden high fever is almost always there with strep throat, along with severe pain while swallowing. When I had it last year, warm salt water gargles gave temporary relief, but you absolutely need antibiotics to clear it. Don't delay seeing a doctor because normal throat lozenges won't cure strep.

Yes, fever is like the immune system's alarm bell for strep throat! 🌡️ It is super common but totally treatable. Drink some warm soup and let the doc give you the right course of meds so you can bounce back quickly!

Oh, absolutely. I got strep throat last winter and my fever touched 102 degrees quite fast. Along with the fever, my neck glands were also swollen and very tender. Definitely get a rapid strep test done from a nearby lab so you know exactly what you are dealing with.

I am also dealing with a very bad throat pain since yesterday and feeling a bit warm today. Is it normal to have a mild body ache too with this? I was wondering if I should wait for another day or visit the clinic right away.
