Does a bonnet help with dandruff?

I've been struggling with dandruff for a long time, and it's quite embarrassing. My friend suggested wearing a silk bonnet at night, saying it helps with dandruff. Does a bonnet really help in controlling dandruff?

I am actually quite new to hair care routines and wanted to ask if a satin bonnet really helps with dandruff? I thought bonnets were only for preventing hair breakage. Does it prevent the scalp from drying out, or does it make it sweatier and worse?

Honestly, a bonnet doesn't cure dandruff because dandruff is usually caused by a fungus or excess oil, not friction. It does keep your hair moisturized, but if you sweat inside the bonnet, it might actually worsen the dandruff. I'd stick to a good anti-dandruff shampoo instead!

Look, a silk bonnet is great for styling and preventing frizz, but it won't do anything for dandruff. Dandruff is a scalp skin issue, not a hair issue. Get a proper ketoconazole shampoo from a chemist and use it twice a week, that is what actually works.

Nahi babu, bonnet se dandruff thik nahi hota. Dandruff ke liye toh baalon ko saaf rakhna zaroori hai. Hafte mein do baar neem ka pani ya halka neem ka tel lagao, usse bahut aaram milega.

I ignored my itchy scalp for months and tried fancy hair wraps and bonnets, thinking it was just dry skin, but it turned into severe seborrheic dermatitis. Please don't rely on cosmetic accessories like bonnets to fix a scalp infection. Go to a dermatologist and get proper medical lotion before it leads to hair loss.
