Does 2nd hand smoke cause cancer?

My neighbour smokes a lot on his balcony, and the smoke often drifts into my apartment. I'm really concerned about my family's health, especially my kids. Does secondhand smoke cause cancer even with indirect exposure?

Haan beta, dusron ka dhuwan humare andar jata hai toh woh hume bhi beemar banata hai. Mere gaon mein ek uncle kabhi bidi nahi peete the, par unki dukan ke paas log peete the aur unhe fefde ki bimari ho gayi. Is dhuwan se hamesha door rehna chahiye.

Just like high sugar damages our blood vessels, second-hand smoke introduces dangerous carcinogens directly into our bloodstream and lungs. It is scientifically proven to increase the risk of lung cancer and heart diseases. Always protect your health and avoid smoking zones.

Haan bilkul, second-hand smoke se cancer ka khatra bahut badh jata hai. Jo pi raha hai usko toh nuksaan hota hi hai, par jo sath khada hai uske lungs bhi kharab hote hain na. Isliye public places par dhyan rakha karo aur dur raha karo.

Epidemiological studies confirm that chronic exposure to second-hand smoke increases the risk of lung cancer by about 20-30%. If you have been heavily exposed and experience persistent coughing or chest discomfort, it is always safest to consult a pulmonologist for a thorough checkup.

In our younger days, people smoked everywhere—in offices, buses, and homes. Many of my non-smoking friends suffered lung issues later in life because of this constant exposure. Thankfully, awareness is better now. Keep your living spaces smoke-free to protect yourself and your children.

Yes, passive smoking is highly dangerous and carries a significant risk of lung cancer. Research shows it contains the exact same harmful chemicals that the smoker inhales. If your family members or colleagues smoke, gently request them to do it outdoors for everyone's safety.

I completely understand how terrifying it is to worry about health issues because of people smoking around you. I used to get so anxious whenever my flatmate smoked on the balcony. It does carry real health risks, so setting boundaries is very important for your peace of mind.
