Do zyns cause cavities?

Seeing a lot of people using Zyn pouches lately. I'm concerned about oral health, especially cavities. Can using Zyn products actually lead to dental problems like cavities?

Don't panic too much. Zyn pouches don't contain sugar, so they won't directly cause cavities like sweets do. However, nicotine reduces saliva flow, and a dry mouth is a playground for bacteria. Just be careful, drink lots of water, and try to quit soon.

I have been using Zyn for six months and now my back teeth have started hurting whenever I drink cold water. Has anyone else noticed rapid tooth decay or sensitivity after starting these pouches? I am really worried.

Personally, my dentist found two new cavities during my last checkup and pointed out that my gums where I tuck the pouch were recrossing. I didn't get medical details, but I decided to stop using them immediately to save my teeth.

I agree with others that dry mouth is the real issue here. Make sure you brush twice daily and use a fluoride mouthwash if you are using these pouches.

Haan na, sugar toh nahi hoti inme, par nicotine se muh bilkul sookh jata hai. When saliva is less, natural cleaning of teeth doesn't happen. Toh indirectly toh cavity lagne ka chance badh hi jata hai na.

Dental fillings and root canals cost a bomb in private clinics nowadays, easily 3000 to 5000 rupees per tooth. Using these pouches is just inviting heavy dental expenses later on. Better to quit now and save that hard-earned money.

Hey there! Since they are sugar-free, they don't feed the cavity bacteria directly! 🦷 But they definitely make your mouth super dry, so keep sipping water to stay fresh and safe! Better yet, try to ditch them soon! 😊
