Do you run a fever with thrush?

My newborn has some white patches in her mouth, and the doctor thinks it might be thrush. She doesn't have a fever though, and seems generally okay otherwise. Is it common for babies to run a fever when they have thrush?

No, a simple oral thrush doesn't cause a fever. If you are running a temperature, it means there is another underlying infection or a different issue, so you should get a doctor to look at it directly.

As a diabetic, I get oral thrush sometimes when my sugars spike, but I never run a fever with it. If you have a fever, please check your blood glucose levels immediately and consult your specialist.

I once ignored a white coating on my tongue and a mild fever, thinking it would go away, but it turned out to be a much deeper throat infection. Please get it checked by a doctor right away instead of waiting.

I noticed white patches in my mouth today and I also have a mild fever. I am getting so anxious about what this could be. Did anyone else run a fever when they had oral thrush?

I read online that thrush doesn't cause fever, which made me panic that it might be some other major infection. If you have both, please don't stress too much but do visit a doctor to get a clear answer.

Haan na, normally thrush me bukhar nahi hota, bas mouth me thoda discomfort hota hai. But agar aapko fever aa raha hai, toh doctor ko dikhana hi sahi rahega.

Usually, thrush is just a localized fungal issue and shouldn't cause a fever or stop you from your daily walks. But if a fever is present, your body is fighting something else, so rest up and consult a professional.
