Do you run a fever with the stomach flu?

I've had a bout of stomach flu recently with a lot of vomiting and weakness. I did not have any fever though. Is it common to get a fever with the stomach flu, or can it be without one?

Haan na, low-grade fever toh aata hi hai stomach flu me. Along with loose motions, you feel so weak. Just keep drinking nimbu paani with a bit of salt and sugar, you will feel better.

Yes, a mild fever is quite common with stomach flu as your body fights the virus. Make sure you don't take heavy milk products right now; stick to light rice kanji and double check with a doctor if the fever goes high.

Yeah man, I had this last semester. Got a mild fever around 99-100 along with continuous vomiting. Honestly, just stick to basic khichdi and electro powder water for a couple of days.

I am feeling a bit feverish and my stomach has been upset since morning. Is it normal for the fever to come first, or do the stomach cramps usually start before that? I'm a bit confused.

Yes, a mild fever is just the body's natural way of cleansing itself of the virus. Keep your mind peaceful, drink lots of warm water, and let your body heal naturally with proper rest and simple food.

Dealing with vomiting and a fever at the same time is so exhausting and honestly made me feel so miserable and anxious. Please don't be hard on yourself, just rest and take it one day at a time.
