Do you run a fever with norovirus?

I've had a really bad stomach bug this week, with vomiting and diarrhea. My doctor said it's likely norovirus. I did have a mild fever with it, but my friend who had it last month didn't. Is a fever a consistent symptom of norovirus?

Yes beta, a mild fever can definitely happen with this stomach bug, though vomiting and loose motions are more common. Keep sipping on ORS water or light coconut water to prevent dehydration, and avoid heavy spices completely.

Some people do get a low-grade fever with norovirus, but you must consult your physician to confirm the diagnosis. Do not try to guess at home because severe vomiting can dehydrate you very quickly. Let a professional check you.

Yes, you can get a low-grade fever with norovirus. It usually goes away in a day or two along with the stomach upset.

Norovirus can give you a mild fever, but the main issue is the non-stop vomiting and loose stools. Don't ignore it if you can't keep any liquids down. Go straight to a clinic instead of waiting for the fever to increase.

A mild fever is possible with norovirus. Because of my high blood pressure, I always get a doctor's checkup whenever I get any stomach infection, as dehydration can mess with my medication and BP levels.
