Do you run a fever with covid?

I've been feeling a bit off lately, and took a COVID test which came back positive. I have a cough and body ache but my temperature is normal. Do you always run a fever with COVID, or can it be mild without one?

I have been feeling a bit warm since morning and have a dry cough. Is a high fever always guaranteed with covid, or can you have it with just a very mild temperature?

Yes, a fever is the body's natural response to the virus. I recommend eating light, warm vegetable soups and steamed food to keep your digestion easy while fighting the infection. Always consult a doctor for proper diagnosis.

When my kids got covid, they both ran a high fever for the first two days along with body pain. We kept them isolated, gave them warm water, and monitored their oxygen levels with a pulse oximeter. Please consult your pediatrician if your child's fever is high.

Yes, fever is very common. Before rushing to an expensive private hospital, buy a basic paracetamol strip and a home antigen kit from a local chemist for under 300 rupees. If the home test is positive and fever stays high, then consult a doctor.

My grandmother insisted on giving me herbal kashayam for my covid fever, which was soothing. However, we must trust medical science for this, so I also took the regular paracetamol prescribed by our doctor. Please get tested if you have a fever.

Oh yes, the fever hits you and completely kills your taste buds, which was the absolute worst part for me! Even if you can't taste anything, keep eating simple dal-rice to keep your strength up. Do get a doctor to check you out.
