Do you need prescription for malaria tablets?

My family and I are planning an international trip to a region where malaria is a concern. We are trying to figure out how to get the preventative medicine. Do you need a doctor's prescription to buy malaria tablets, or can we just purchase them over the counter?

Bro, I went to buy some malaria meds last month before my trekking trip and the local chemist straight up refused without a doctor's slip. Some small shops might give it, but honestly, just get a quick prescription online to avoid any issues.

For preventing mosquitoes, we can always use neem oil and keep the house clean. But if you actually have symptoms like high fever and chills, please do not self-medicate at home. Go see a doctor and get the proper prescription medicines immediately.

Haan yaar, prescription toh chahiye hoti hai high-end tablets ke liye. Malaria drugs can have strong side effects, na. Better to ask a doc first instead of directly popping pills from the chemist shop.

Don't waste time going from shop to shop hoping someone will sell it OTC. Just book a quick 5-minute online consultation on Apollo or Practo, get the digital prescription, and order the meds. It saves so much productive time.

Yes, you absolutely need a prescription. Malaria medications have very specific dosages depending on the region and the strain of malaria, and self-prescribing can be highly dangerous. Please consult a qualified doctor before taking any such pills.

Man, my head is spinning just thinking about going to a clinic for a piece of paper. But yeah, unfortunately, chemists won't give you the good stuff without a prescription. Just get the slip quickly so you can go back to sleep.
