Do you need malaria tablets for zanzibar?

A group of us are planning a trip to Zanzibar in a few months, and we're looking into all the health precautions. One of our friends brought up malaria tablets. Do we really need to take malaria tablets for a holiday in Zanzibar?

Keep a positive mind and travel with peace in your heart. Since Zanzibar does have malaria risk, taking the prescribed tablets from your doctor is a wise way to protect your physical body so you can enjoy your spiritual journey safely.

While burning camphor and using natural oils can keep mosquitoes away in your room, Zanzibar has a high malaria rate where home tips aren't enough. You must consult a doctor for proper tablets to stay fully protected during your trip.

Yes, Zanzibar is a malaria-risk zone. You should definitely take prophylactic tablets as advised by a travel doctor.

Zanzibar has active malaria transmission, so tablets are usually highly recommended. For people like us managing health conditions, getting malaria can complicate blood sugar levels terribly. Please get proper medical advice and don't skip the preventive pills.

Since I already manage a chronic issue like thyroid which requires regular follow-ups, I never take risks with travel health. Zanzibar is malaria endemic, so please book a doctor's appointment to get the right preventive course before you fly.
