Do you lose an hour of sleep in the fall?

My colleague from the US was discussing daylight saving time and mentioned gaining an hour of sleep in the fall. Does this concept apply to India, or do we not have such changes?

I just returned from a long work trip in Europe where they use daylight saving time. Actually, in the fall, you 'fall back', which means you actually gain an hour of sleep, not lose it. It took my body a few days to adjust, but that extra hour felt quite nice.

Under daylight saving systems, you actually gain an hour in autumn. However, any sudden changes in sleep patterns can disrupt your circadian rhythm. If you are experiencing persistent sleep issues or fatigue, please consult a specialist to rule out any underlying sleep disorders.

Actually, you gain an hour in the fall, but these time shifts can heavily disrupt your sleep cycle. I once ignored severe insomnia during a seasonal shift, which led to high blood pressure complications later. Please see a doctor if you are struggling to get restful sleep.

No, in the fall you actually gain an hour of sleep as the clocks go back. To help your body transition smoothly during seasonal changes, try eating light dinners like warm vegetable soups and avoid heavy spices or caffeine close to bedtime.

You actually get an extra hour of sleep when clocks go back in autumn. For diabetics, even minor sleep changes can affect insulin sensitivity and morning blood sugar levels. Make sure you maintain consistent meal timings even when the clock shifts.

Haan, log confuse ho jate hain, but fall me toh hume ek ghanta extra milta hai sone ke liye na! 'Fall back' hota hai, toh clocks peeche jaati hain. Spring me actual me sleep lose hoti hai jab 'spring forward' hota hai.
