Do you grow in your sleep?

My son is growing really fast, and sometimes he complains of growing pains in his legs. My grandmother always used to say that kids grow when they are sleeping. Is it true that physical growth primarily happens during sleep?

Actually yes, science-wise it is true yaar! The growth hormone is mostly released when you are in deep sleep. That's why kids and teenagers are always told to sleep early, physical growth really happens during that time.

I totally get it, it sounds like an old wives' tale, but it is scientifically proven. Your body repairs tissues and releases growth hormones while you rest. It's so important for children and even adults to get proper undisturbed sleep for overall health.

Haan, ye toh bilkul sach baat hai na. Deep sleep mein hi humari body grow karti hai aur repair hoti hai. Agar bachho ki height badhani hai, toh unka time pe sona sabse zyada zaroori hai, tabhi hormones apna kaam karte hain.

Yes, sleep is free medicine for growth and healing. Instead of buying expensive health drinks for height, just ensure your children sleep for 8 to 9 hours daily. Keep them away from screens at night so they get deep, uninterrupted sleep.

I always make sure my kids are in bed by 9:30 PM because of this. The pediatrician told me that the peak growth hormone release happens during deep sleep at night. Good sleep is just as important as eating healthy vegetables for their development.
